Retail Store Opportunities

Chocolate Mail Order Dept. - part time, Sept-May

Compensation: Hourly, based on experience and the ability to learn our product line
Employment type: Part-time, September - May

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Detail & accuracy oriented. Good at math and numbers. Manual dexterity important. The job includes standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Must have ability to follow set processes and procedures. Computer & phone skills welcome.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Fill orders in our mail order dept. for shipping & for pickup. Gather items, confirm product, price, weight & complete paperwork. Assemble, pack & label ship boxes. Custom pack & gift wrap boxes of chocolates.

BASIC SCHEDULE:

2 positions: 8:30 – 3pm, 11 – 5:30pm. Part-time days, September - May. Hours will vary between 4 - 40 hours depending on the time of year. Must be available for longer hours before holidays: Christmas - 8 weeks, Valentine's Day - 3 weeks, Easter - 3 weeks. 5 days per week, includes Monday & Saturday. Occasional hours between holidays. Sunday off. We close the month of July.

 
Refill & Stock Store Shelves, part-time afternoon/evenings

Compensation: Hourly, minimum age 15 (worker's permit needed) 
Employment type: Part-time, Fall thru Spring

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Attention to detail, manual dexterity and a positive attitude. The job includes standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Refill and restock chocolate box shelves and displays, package bulk products, light cleaning, giftwrap boxes.

BASIC SCHEDULE:

September thru May. Sundays off. 3-20 hours per week based on the 'seasonal flow' of our chocolate year. Non holiday schedule: 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm two to three days per week, and 10 am to 4:15 pm every other Saturday. For Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter scheduled hours increase: 3:45 to 7:30 pm weekdays and 9:15 am to 5:15 pm on Saturdays.

 

Chocolate Team Data Entry, Mail Order & Retail Support, part-time days

Compensation: Hourly, based on experience 
Employment type: Part-time, September - May

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experienced in Excel, Word and Windows. Office skills and customer service experience. Math skills, attention to detail and manual dexterity important. Must  have an ability to follow set processes and procedures.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Process store and internet orders; revise address lists; track packages; reply to customers by email, phone and mail. Use UPS, USPS, and Wilmar Chocolates mail order programs. Assemble and package orders for shipping. Custom pack boxes of chocolates. Give retail support.

BASIC SCHEDULE:

Part-time days September - May. Hours will vary between 4 - 40 hours depending on the time of year. Must be available for longer hours before holidays: Christmas - 8 weeks, Valentine's Day - 2 weeks, Easter - 3 weeks. Before holidays, 9:30 - 5:30, 2-5 days per week. Non-holiday, 1:30 to 5:30, 1 - 3 days per week. Includes some Saturdays, no Sunday hours. We close the month of July.

 

Chocolate Kitchen Opportunities

Chocolate Kitchen Preparation and Production, part-time

Compensation: Hourly, based on experience and ability to learn the skills needed for the job.
Employment type: Part-time, September - May, 3-5 days per week

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Friendly team-oriented person. Attention to detail and manual dexterity important. Eagerness to work hard and pay attention to the details.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Job duties included rolling, cutting, decorating, and general preparation of confections; coating and molding confections in chocolate.

BASIC SCHEDULE:

September thru May, summers off. 
5 days per week (Mon-Fri) September through December; 3-4 days per week (Tues-Fri) January thru May.

Candy Kitchen Assistant, part-time

Compensation: Hourly, based on experience and ability to learn the skills needed for the job.
Employment type: Part-time, September - May 3-4 days per week, must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Friendly team-oriented person. Attention to detail and manual dexterity important. Eagerness to work hard and pay attention to the details.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Job duties included the preparation and cooking of confections, cleaning and dishwashing pots and confectionery tools. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

BASIC SCHEDULE:

September thru May, summers off. 
4 days per week (Tues-Fri) September to December; 3 days per week (Tues-Thurs) January thru May.
